Resources are the primary revenue industry in Indonesia and KarimSyah is one of Indonesia's most experienced firms in the resources field, having assisted Indonesia's state-owned enterprises, as well as a myriad of private entities in both transactional and dispute resolution matters. Mirza Karim served as in-house counsel for a multinational oil and gas company for over 12 years before joining the firm and thus has a wealth of experience in every aspect of the system. Karen Mills has advised and assisted oil and mining companies and service organisations for over 35 years, and we have successfully represented the Indonesian government in some very complex arbitrations over the years.
Our practice areas include establishment of resource and service companies, the drafting, advising, negotiating, and reviewing of contracts relating to oil, gas and mining and supporting services, and all matters relating to production sharing contracts, contracts of work and mining licenses, among others. Ms. Mills has also served as arbitrator and adjudicator in a number of resource-related arbitrations.
